Legal Billing Appeals Specialist
San Diego, CA
Full Time
Mid Level
Do you know what it takes to win a billing appeal — and how to make sure the firm gets paid what it earned?
About Klinedinst PCKlinedinst PC is a multi-office litigation and insurance defense law firm with offices across California, the Pacific Northwest, and the Southwest. We represent insurers and their insureds in complex civil litigation, and our billing operations reflect that complexity — high volume, carrier-specific outside counsel guidelines, and multiple e-billing platforms. Our finance team is the engine that keeps the firm running, and this role sits at the heart of our revenue recovery effort.
The OpportunityWe’re looking for a Legal Billing Appeals Specialist to own the appeals workflow across our e-billing platforms. When carriers reduce or reject invoices, this person investigates why, builds the response, and submits the appeal — protecting the firm’s earned revenue on every matter. This is a detail-intensive, high-accountability role that requires someone who can read an outside counsel guideline, understand why a line item was cut, and write a persuasive, well-documented rebuttal.
